Charles Stewart-Smith joins e.i as Chairman
The board of Editorial Intelligence Ltd is delighted that Charles Stewart-Smith has joined the company as Non-Executive Chairman with immediate effect.
Charles co-founded the communications consultancy, Luther Pendragon, which he built up and sold to a management team in November 2005. He also chaired from its start the Brussels-based consultancy, GPlus, which was sold to Omnicom, also in 2005. Before starting Luther Pendragon, Charles had worked in journalism both at the BBC and ITN, where he had been programme editor of News At Ten.
Founder and Chief Executive of Editorial Intelligence Julia Hobsbawm says:
“Charles is a businessman with a great track record in communications – not least at Luther Pendragon - who brings a wealth of expertise and energy to the table as we begin our third year. He will play a central role in bringing our unrivalled editorial intelligence to a wider market in the UK and abroad”.
Charles Stewart-Smith says:
“I believe there will be significant growth in businesses that provide intelligent and relevant support to communications professionals – not least because technology allows this to be provided in increasingly cost efficient ways. Editorial Intelligence has established for itself a high end niche, with unparalleled knowledge of and access to the columnists and opinion formers of the media world. It’s an increasingly must-have service and I am excited about being a part of it.”
